I’ve always believed music is more than melody—it’s a bridge across time, space, and identity. Growing up in a family that navigated Jim Crow, redlining, and the vibrant multicultural tapestry of New York, I learned early that stories matter. From those roots, I became a storyteller, weaving languages and cultures into every performance.
When I moved from New York to the Northwest, the seasons shifted dramatically—just as my life did when multiple sclerosis became part of my story. Yet, even when rain challenges how I move, I’m still carrying my gear, still telling stories. My memoir, “Married to a Rockstar,” and the tales of Gypsy Moth and Roger, are part of this journey—a rhythm of resilience, love, and the music that continues to guide me.
